Questions before we begin
Of course. Sometimes it starts with a napkin sketch from a client meeting. Send what you have. Measurements, photos, an existing plan and appliance information help, but you don’t need everything ready for us to talk.
What are you working with?
Absolutely. Send the plan or sketch you’ve already worked out. I’ll use it to develop the cabinet elevations and 3D views, then carry the approved design through to the final construction drawings. We can build on the decisions you’ve already made.
You’ll have views to show your client and drawings for the people building the cabinetry. Depending on the job, that includes a floor plan, cabinet elevations, 3D views, sections and close-up details. I’ll recommend the set your project needs and show you what’s included before we begin.
Yes. Show me a set you like, or walk me through how you build. I’ll work with your cabinet construction, door reveals, hardware and preferred details. The drawings should make sense to the people in your shop.
Of course—send them over. I stay with the job after the drawings go out. If your client comes back a few weeks later, you can come back to me. I’ll update the drawings and get you a current set to send back for review.
If a change grows into additional work, we’ll talk about it first. You’ll know before there’s an extra charge.
Send me the job and the date you’re working toward. I’ll look at what you already have and the drawings you need, then give you a price and delivery date. Let me know if there’s a client meeting or a shop deadline coming up.
Send what you have. We’ll agree on the drawings, price and timing, arrange the starting payment, and get to work. If you’re still deciding the layout, that’s what I’ll send you first. If you already have one, I’ll develop it into cabinet elevations and 3D views for review, then finish the construction drawings as the design is approved.
